As soon as Apple announced the fifth generation iPod Nano the people at Quirky went to work on a case to keep all iPod fans happy. An interestign thing about Quirky, if you didn;t know, is that all the cool things on their ebsite are designed by the Quirky community – anyone can register free and get involved. If you want to influence a design – suggest modifications or improvements, brainstorm product names, etc, then you can earn yourself a percentage of the profits of that product. Pretty neat system.

The Soft Gloss case is really stylish, and it’s designed to keep that ‘new’ look for a long time, because it’s made of silicone with a jelly touch finish which repels dust and lint. The silicone feels very much like plastic and it has some flexibility, just enough to be easy to fit on your iPod nano 5G.
The design on the back of the case features the Apple logo surrounded by dots of various sizes, disposed in circles around the well-known apple. The case provides open access to all ports on the iPod, both on top and on bottom. However, if you want to put the iPod into a dock, you’ll have to remove the case, because it doesn’t fit.
